Komikoo #0!!!

It's out (in Malaysia)! My latest foray in the local comic scene, this is a new komik magazine that just came out in Malaysia that is published by a good friend of mine. Those who are in Malaysia, you can get it now at book stores and places like that.

Oh, also, my komik is in there too... though it's not really of high quality... but it's colored by Aura so it's still good quality! Ha ha ha ha ha!

Go... buy... now...

Sketches and stuff...

The first sketch is just a whole buncha hooey that I just randomly draw. No story or anything behind any of those characters.

The second sketch is something I've been playing in my mind recently called Zinda the Dragonslayer... those are, again, random sketches but this time of the whole Zinda the Dragonslayer idea. The idea behind this one is that the guy is her rival and the girl with the punk hairdo is a dragon in the form of a human, I figure I'll name her Sylph... such a common name for this Humanoid reptiles... and the guy on top I guess is a villain? Also a dragon in human form.

Avataar: Book of Fire

Finished up the sketch I did a couple of days ago.

You can see the colour progression here.

And here's a 1280X960 wallpaper.

Avatar: Azula and Aang

A little Aang and Azula sketch done in the office. I was sort of bored, so I decided to just sketch...

Avatar Celebration...

Everybody's doing it, ha ha ha ha.

Though, rest assured, I'm not doing it cos everybody is... I was inspired by them, but I've always wanted to draw a more serious Avatar group shot.

Cross posted with my Livejournal and the Yongumi blog.

Pergh Character Redesign: Sang Kelembai

Sang Kelembai is from a local Malaysian folk monsters/characters that can turn people into stone just by talking to them. There's
some dispute over whether Kelembai is male or female, but since my version is inspired by Diamondhead from Ben10, I decided to make him male.

This was done for Pergh's Character Redesign battle.

New Komik designs

Some new character designs I did for a new comic I'm sending to Komikoo, an upcoming local Malaysia Komik Magazine. Of course, I'm still just pitching the story idea. Here's hoping it gets accepted.

Avatar Fun Kids! with Mary Jane

Something I drew yesterday at Comiworld. It was supposed to be drawn for this cute little girl who wanted another Avatar art I did (which is a crossover of Avatar and Azumanga Daioh, but it's a commission, so it's not with me, but worry not, I asked the commissioner to e-mail me the art after she scans it) but she and her father never returned back to the booth after the event was nearing finish and I needed to go off. Alas...

Something I did on the first day of Comiworld past Saturday. This one isn't a commission or anything, I just had a lot of time in my hand and decided to pass it by doing something Adam Hughes inspired. I don't really like how her face turned out though, the eyes are too far apart and the head itself is too wide.

She's supposed to look like she's undressing and has Spider-Man's costume underneath but as a friend of mine mentioned, her pose looks more like he's hugging/holding a cat. Eh heh, my bad.

Chun Li and the Ultimates!

Another entry to the Pergh's character re-design thing. This week, the character to re-design is Chun Li. Costume inspired from Dynasty Warriors game.

And this is just a doodle of Nick Fury, Captain America and Hawkeye from The Ultimates. My friend in the office added the dialogue Nick Fury said after I was done with it.

Green Lantern Design

This is something I did for that Pergh Character Re-Design thing and this time, it's re-design Green Lantern, but to be more specific, it's more like, re-design an existing Lantern OR design your own for the Corps and I chose the latter. No idea who this girl is, but she lost her hand in a battle and had to replace it with a mechanical hand in which she imbedded the ring into it to give it the Lantern's power. That's all I have on her.

Edit: I just created this girl, she is NOT Boodikka... by "that's all I have on her" is that the concept of the mechanical armor is all I have come up with for her, not that I was given a description of her and just came up with a design.

Edit Edit: I forgot to mention that when I submitted this to the Pergh forum thingie, I gave her the name Parallinax... like a lame gender play to the name Parallax...

Skeletor!

Just something I'm doing for a thread at a local community forum called Pergh. It's basically something like Project Rooftop, but it's more for the Malaysian art people.

The topic this week, Skeletor.

More Assassins

Or, really, more Assassin's Creed. Heh.

Dazzler's creed

For today, I did a bit of Dazzler and some Assassin's Creed fanart. Man, this game is awesome looking. It's absolutely beautiful and my reason to buy the XBox 360. The things that they showed in E3 about this game was nothing short of astounding. The effort that was put into this game... it makes it worth to get the 360 just for it! November! Must... scrimp... and... save...

Bat Villains

I love me them Batman Rogues. Especially these 4. I dunno why, but I love drawing them... maybe it's the characteristics that their appearances just give out. These 4, to me, are totally the main Bat-villains and they all dress in suits... ALL of them... well, Riddler has that green tights of his, but I always preferred his green suit and bowler hat look...

Also... riddler's sort of a good guy now...

I'm trying out for a drawing a day thing, like some random sketches a day... this is two days so far... hopefully, this'll be a success.

Current works....

Something I'm hoping to be doing for a future local magazine... of course, if the idea isn't rejected, that is...

I haven't been drawing for fun much lately... just been so busy with work stuff... so much so that I'm getting tired of drawing... but at the same time, I can't, I need to survive my life... This project I'm doing up here? I guess it's not so bad... I mean, it's still work, but it's still sort of my own stuff... the initial idea was given to me by a friend, but I've worked and re-worked it to make it so that I'd feel comfortable doing it...

I'm even having second thoughts about online comics... this is pretty damn bad...

DoodleBomb! Blogger style, First edition!!

Some Superhero sketches I did at work

Some face studies I did...

Been X-ing a lot

Out of boredom in the office, I did this whole she-bang of X-men sketch... now, I know it's not the complete roster, but the hell do I care!! I just drew whoever came to mind (and surprisingly, Wolverine came a lot later)

Spider-Man 3

And for my first post, inspired by the Spider-Man 3 movie I just saw.

It was a pretty cool movie, but I felt like the difference in awesomeness between Spider-Man 2 and 3 isn't that far off... not like the difference between Spider-Man and Spider-Man 2, that one had a huge difference is awesomeness, but it was still a pretty damn good movie so I liked it. in fact, I loved it.
